Who we are
Custom Uniform Factory (“we”, “us”) is a uniform manufacturer (scrubs, lab coats and workwear) in Los Angeles, California, and runs this website. Contact us about privacy at hello@customuniformfactory.com.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, company, email, phone number, order details and any files or design specs you send when you request a quote or contact us.
- Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and referring site, collected through analytics cookies only if you accept them.
- Technical data: your IP address and basic request details (browser, time, page), which our hosting provider (Vercel) logs when you load a page or send a form. We use it only to run the site securely, limit abuse of our forms and fix errors.
How we use it
- To reply to your request, prepare quotes and samples, and fulfil orders.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (only with your consent to analytics cookies).
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Analytics and cookies
With your consent we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a choice of essential cookies only and do not load analytics unless you later opt in. We do not use advertising cookies and do not show ads. See our cookie policy; you can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Spam protection on our forms (Google reCAPTCHA)
Our quote and contact forms use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to tell real requests from automated spam. Google’s reCAPTCHA script is loaded only when you start using a form (it is not loaded on other pages or before you interact with a form). When it runs, Google collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, such as your IP address, browser details and the _GRECAPTCHA cookie, and returns a score that we use only to decide whether to accept the submission. We do not use it for advertising or analytics. Google processes this information under its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Categories of personal information (California notice at collection)
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories, from you, from your device and from our service providers:
- Identifiers: name, email address, phone number and IP address.
- Professional information: your company and the role you tell us about.
- Commercial information: the products, quantities and designs you ask about or order.
- Internet activity: pages visited and interactions, only with your consent to analytics.
- Approximate location: city or region derived from your IP address.
We use each category only for the purposes listed above and keep it for the periods below. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law, and we do not sell or share any category.
Sharing your information
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only to service providers who help us run the site and our business (hosting, email, form handling, spam protection, analytics, shipping), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when the law requires.
How long we keep it
Quote and contact messages are kept for up to 24 months unless they become part of an order, in which case we keep order records as long as tax and business law require. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
How we protect it
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, form submissions go directly to our own server, and access to quote messages is limited to the people who handle your request. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we also keep only what we need.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don’t sell or share it). We won’t discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, email hello@customuniformfactory.com; we will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the time the law requires (45 days, extendable once). You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that the agent may act for you. Residents of other states may have similar rights under their state laws, and we honor the same requests from all US visitors.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change, and show the date of the latest version at the top.
