Our commitment

Custom Uniform Factory wants every buyer to be able to browse our products, read our guides and request a quote, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, zoom or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix.

What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard. A “Skip to content” link comes first, focus is always visible, and the main menu panels open on focus and close with the Escape key.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked for assistive technology, and form errors and confirmations are announced to screen readers.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and controls are checked for color contrast, and pages reflow for phones and for zoom up to 200% without losing content.
  • Animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion, the moving product ticker on the home page has a pause button (your choice is remembered), and nothing plays sound or video on its own.
  • Our spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA v3) works in the background and never asks you to solve a visual puzzle.

How we check it

We test pages with automated tools (Lighthouse and axe-based checks) and by hand with a keyboard on desktop and on phone screen sizes. Automated tools find only some problems, so we also rely on feedback from people who use the site.

Known limitations

  • The garment customizer is a visual design tool, and placing a logo by dragging may be hard with some assistive technology. You never need it to order: describe the garment, colors and logo placement in the quote form or by email, and we prepare the same specification for you.
  • Product photos are illustrative. If you need a description of a style, fabric or color, ask us and we will send it in writing.
  • Some linked pages on other websites, such as Google’s privacy pages, are outside our control.

Get help or report a problem

If anything on this site is hard to use, email hello@customuniformfactory.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, the browser or assistive technology you use. We will help you get the information or quote you need another way, such as by email, and we will work on fixing the problem.
